HYROOF PRIMER HYBRID PU 15 L

HyRoof Hybrid PU is a new technology hybrid elastomeric roof sealant based on acrylic polyurethane, offering a hybrid waterproofing system for more than 10 years of protection. It forms a highly elastic, seamless membrane, offering excellent protection against moisture and stagnant water. It has excellent adhesion to all roof substrates such as concrete, asphalt membranes, cement slabs, old insulation, after proper preparation or priming with HyRoof Hybrid PU Primer. Shows very low water absorption, covers microcracks and capillaries extremely well. It exhibits high resistance to extreme weather conditions from -30oC/+90oC and excellent resistance to UV radiation and thermal aging.

It is certified by the University of Athens, Department of Physics, for its properties as a cold roofing material, resulting in a highly reflective final layer (reflectivity in the visible spectrum 93%), which improves the energy efficiency of buildings by reducing cooling costs . It is also certified as a concrete surface protection product, according to the EN 1504-2 standard.

Certified with the European Technical Approval (ETA 16/0755) by the notified body TZUS – member of EOTA – according to the European Technical Directive EAD 030350-00-0402 (Liquid Applied Roof Waterproofing Kits).

Surfaces must be clean, dry and smooth, free of dust or loose materials. In case of cracks, use Vitex Elastomeric Putty to cover them. New or old painted surfaces are primed with HyRoof Primer in order to stabilize the surfaces to be painted.

APPLICATION
The product is stirred well before use. It is applied with a roller, brush, or airless gun in two layers crosswise without dilution, with a total consumption of at least 1 Lt/m² on the entire flat surface to be waterproofed and on the perimeter vertical parapets at a height of at least 30-40 cm. For protection and waterproofing life of up to 10 years, the use of HyRoof reinforcing polyester fabric is required. The reinforcement is incorporated into the layers while the underlying surface is still fresh. It is recommended that the consumption of HyRoof Hybrid PU is 1.1 Lt/m² under the reinforcement, final layer 0.8 Lt/m², reaching a total consumption of at least 1.9 Lt/m².

It should not be applied at temperatures below 5°C, above 35°C and/or relative humidity above 80% or if there is a risk of rain or frost in the next forty-eight hours.
The product is dry to the touch in 2-3 hours and can be repainted after 16-24 hours. These times vary according to weather conditions (relative humidity and temperature).
Tools are cleaned immediately after use with water and if necessary with soap or detergent.
